Good location and easy to get to. Good value compared to surrounding properties.
A bit run down, rooms had wall paper curling and old fans as was quite warm at night. Needs updating.

Elegant but tired old lady, in need of some loving care
The Grange Clarendon is very well located, in a lovely period building. The British Museum is just around the corner, and Covent Garden and Soho are an easy walk away. Rooms are tastefully decorated, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is someone on the desk 24 hours per day.
We first stayed here a few years ago, and it was a lovely hotel. However, it doesn't look as if much maintenance work has been done since then. The decor is shabby - there is a lot of chipped paintwork in the common areas - the shower screen had lost its runners, and the towel rail was hanging off the wall. There used to be a nice bar area inside the front door - now it is now more like a waiting area, with no proper bar, just a handful of bottles and some glasses. It lacks any character. Breakfast - as in a lot of hotels - is very expensive, so we didn't have breakfast there, but at a nearby café.

Location is perfect
Location absolutely excellent.
It needs a refresh, refurbishment. The rooms are lovely but look tired. Reception there is wallpaper starting to come off the walls. But clean it was and had lovely staff.
